Virginia Commonwealth University: Sales & Business Development Manager
Virginia Commonwealth University is hiring for a new position at the VCU Student Media Center in Richmond, Virginia. The opening is for a Sales & Business Development Manager, and applications are being accepted now through July 15.
The chief purpose of this position is to manage advertising sales efforts and other financial aspects of the VCU Student Media Center and the recognized student media organizations, including but not limited to The Commonwealth Times newspaper, WVCW Radio, Ink magazine, Pwatem literary arts journal, Amendment literary arts journal, River City Fashion Uprising (RCFU), Emanata comics anthology, Mercury Video and plain china online undergraduate literary anthology. The position will oversee the student ad sales staff, as well as manage some aspects of fiscal administration. This position will also be responsible for generating sales. The position will drive print and digital sales strategies, including coordinating new print special editions and similar initiatives, and provide coaching and sales training to the student ad sales staff, with the goal of maximizing revenue generation. The position reports to the Director of Student Media, and is part of the Division of Student Affairs.
