In search for a Circulation Audience Development Manager to work in Easton, MD at The Star- Democrat.

Job Summary
Management of digital & print audience marketing and promotional initiatives related to each publication and platform served.

Job Functions

-Development and implementation of creative sales and marketing campaigns designed to drive product recognition, increase readership and elevate subscription and retail sales
-Customer & community oriented
-Generate and implement customer-based initiatives to improve subscriber retention efforts
-Own and operate various database marketing programs to improve subscriber retention and segment audiences
-Design and implement cost and order production goals for all circulation sales activities
-Implementation of kiosk, door-to-door and sampling campaigns
-The ability to negotiate, develop and maintain partnerships with independent sales organizations.

-Responsible for on-site visits to retail partners or local distribution points
-Assist Market with strategic planning and identifying market opportunities for new distribution and marketing opportunities
-Maintain all paperwork for distribution of products (including trending reports, warehouse numbers, etc.)
-Participating in the execution of all special events, details, planning, gift bags, raffles, sponsorships, etc.
-Promote each publication as they arrive in-market via e-blast, social media, sales promo, etc. to generate interest.

Minimum Requirements

Excellent organizational and communication skills, database marketing applications, and supervision experience.

Physical Demands:

Able to lift 25 lbs.

Technology Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. InDesign and photoshop experience helpful, but not necessary.


An Associate degree in marketing or equivalent work experience or demonstrated successes in a sales or marketing environment.
