Paper Sites’ Unique Hits Are Up
The number of unique visitors to newspaper Web sites hit another record high in Q3, up 15.7% to 68.3 million compared to the same period a year ago. The Newspaper Association of America reported the custom data provided by Nielsen Online (owned by the same parent company as E&P).

Growth of Online Ads Slows
But now, after 17 quarters of ballooning growth, online revenue at newspaper sites is falling. In the second quarter, it was down 2.4 percent compared with last year, to $777 million, according to the Newspaper Association of America.
