Wash. Times Triples W.H. Staffers
Days after The Washington Post revealed plans to double its White House reporting team -- from two to four -- the rival Washington Times is upping its coverage, from one to three scribes. In addition, the Times is also launching a news service today that it promotes as an a la carte option to standard syndicate outlets.

E&P: The Washington Post will expand its crew of full-time White House correspondents from two to four to cover the incoming Obama Administration. That will also include the paper's first Web-based White House reporter, according to Managing Editor Phil Bennett.

The Washington Post is meeting the incoming Obama administration with a pair of new Web offerings. The first, "The Fed Page: Inside the Government Workforce," is described as a "new page [that] will provide vital information on federal news and insights into officials up for key posts in the new administration."
