In InDesign CD3, when you drag over graphics to place in a document, they load up in the cursor and then you can place them, 1, 2, 3, etc.

When you drag over several text items, they load up in the cursor and then when you place them, it places the same text file every time.

Any idea what’s going on here? It seems to me it should work the same way for text as it does for graphics.

Is there some setting I’m missing?

I’m not lucky enough to have CS3 yet, so I don’t know. A quick google returned this:
