HIGHLAND COUNTY REPORTER

The Recorder is seeking a full-time news reporter in its Highland County bureau. We are an award-winning weekly newspaper covering Bath and Highland counties in the mountains of western Virginia. Responsibilities for the position include reporting on all aspects of county government (supervisors, town council, planning and zoning commissions, school board), plus the occasional feature, editorial and commentary, and photography as needed. This is an ideal resume-building job for college journalism graduates, or experienced writers looking to relocate to the slower pace of rural living.
